Essentially all hearing aids have three basic components:
A microphone to pick up a sound
An amplifier to make the sound louder
A speaker which sends amplified sound into your ear.
>
Before choosing your hearing aids a number of factors need to be considered.
Physical:
Degree of your hearing loss
The anatomy of your ear
Whether you need two hearing aids?
  Tinnitus or sound intolerance issues.
  Personal:
Communication needs - you need to consider the situations where you would like to improve
your hearing. When and where you need extra help?
Handling - are you the sort of person who likes to use all the features of your video player and TV
or are you the sort of person who likes to just put the video in and expect it to work?
Cosmetic - just how important is it to you to have a discreet hearing aid? Are you prepared to
    compromise quality for size?
Price - better hearing means a better quality of life, and that is worth an investment of some sort.
No matter what your budget is, we will help you find the hearing aid that meets your personal
    requirements.
  Technology:
  analog vs digital,
  programmable vs non programmeable,
  one microphone vs two microphones,
  single program vs multi programs,
  speech reduction circurity or not

All these options are explored with you before you make your final decision.
