Total Audiological Assessments
Who would benefit from an audiological assessment? Some people would like reassurance about their
hearing and some people think that they have a problem.
>
If you answer yes to one or more of these questions, you may be one of these people:
Do you wonder just how good your hearing really is?
Do you wonder if your hearing is getting worse?
Do you sometimes get teased about whether you are listening or not?
Do you concentrate hard and shut out sound or do not hear all the sounds around you?
Do you have trouble keeping up in meetings or social situations?
Do you get lost in your own thoughts?
Do you wonder about your parent's or child's hearing?
>
If you would like to know just how good your hearing is, we can assess your hearing and provide you
with the results of your hearing. We provide you with a complete audiological assessment that is designed
to find out what you can and cannot hear. Our assessment process is:
completion of an information questionnaires
an ear canal examination
a hearing test that produces an audiogram (shows how much sound you can hear at different pitches)
an assessment of the function of your middle ear system (called a tympanometry)
a speech perception test that shows how clearly you can understand speech
  >
We review the results, prepare a report on our findings and discuss these with you.

While you are at Hearing Solutions you may choose to have some additional services or products,
including: preventative recommendations eg protection measures you can take (ranging from ear plugs to
nutrition) or a demonstration of assistive listening devices for TV, phone, or alarms.
